Another regarded downside to these pads is that they may become separated from the holder assembly. At this point, the paper contacts the top of the lip of the holder as it feeds through and causes the paper to jam up right underneath the roller assembly. Obviously, replacing of the separation pad is needed at the time this occurs. Many people think the feed rollers are the problem because the pad gets lost in action and when they search inside they don’t view it so they don’t it should be there. Hence they assume the feed roller. However, it’s usually just as simple as investing in a fresh separation pad.
Now some technicians choose to remove and replace both parts simultaneously. So below I’ve listed both parts for purchase. Now if you merely have 50,000 pages through the ADF or if you are not technical savvy then you usually only need or should attempt to replace the ADF separation pad.
