Troubleshooting Tips for the HP CM3530 50.3 Fuser Error – High Temperature Reading
I’ll take high temperature readings any day over low temperature reading. In my experience I’ve always had better luck with high temp problems. Anyway, the  HP CM3530 50.3 Fuser Error is related to a high temperature reading in the fusing assembly. Below you will find troubleshooting tips from the service manual along with my personal tips. Service Manual Troubleshooting Tips for the 50.3 Fuser Error
1. Reinstall the fuser. Check the connector (J50) between the fuser and the product.
2. Replace the cable or fuser if the connector is damaged.
3. If the problem persists, replace the fuser.
Additional Troubleshooting Tips
1. Turn the machine off and let it sit 20 to 30 minutes then try again.
2. Environment – Make sure that you have clearance on all side of the machine. Due to the large surface area of the sides, people like to stick photos, post it notes, and other paper to the sides of the machine. Make sure this is not happening and you have clearance on all sides of the machine.
3. I do not recommend running these machines in temperatures over 90 decrees. When the surrounding temperatures get that hot the machine has a hard time cooling itself down. This can lead to high heat issues.
4. Make sure that your paper settings match the paper type being used. Running plain paper through a machine set to cardstock can lead to overheating.
5. Also, make sure that your fuser settings are set the way they should.
6. Replace the fusing assembly.
