HP 4240, 4250, 4350 Perform Printer Maintenance Message
The HP 4240, 4250, 4350 Perform Printer Maintenance Message appears when these machines reach 225,000 page count mark. When these machines reach 225,000 copies the control panel displays this message and the PM parts should be installed at this time and the message needs reset per the kit instructions. Majority of people at this time call in for service because they are unsure of what to do. I typically recommend my customers have a technician come out, clean the machine top to bottom, and have them advice you of any potential problems that could arise in the next year. The kits themselves aren’t really to difficult to install. If you have someone in your office that has some technical skill they should be able to handle the job. So while you might want to have a tech come out and perform the PM it might be in your best interest to buy the part yourself and have them come out to install it to avoid unnecessary expenses.
