Below you will find the illustrated Ricoh Aficio MP 2851 PMB205120K Replacement instuctions. Yeah, I know, these machines are getting on in age. Excuse me, I just happened to look up the instructions, saw they were pretty straight forward, and found out you can still get the parts. So, I figured what the heck.
Anymore, I don’t know that these parts are actually used as much for the 120K cycle as much as they are used to just replace multiple parts at the same time as they age due to time rather than usage. These fusers have seen better days and are old. I know everytime I service one, at least one or more parts of the fuser unit are either missing or worn down.

2. Ricoh Aficio MP 2851 FUSING UNIT
CAUTION
Allow time for the unit to cool before doing the following procedure.
1. Release the duplex unit, if it has been installed, and open the right cover.
2. Remove the fusing unit [A] (2 screws).
3. Ricoh Aficio MP 2851 THERMISTORS
1. Remove the fusing unit.
2. Remove the plates [A] (1 screw each).
3. Replace the thermistors [B] (1 connector).
4-5. Ricoh Aficio MP 2851 Fuser Top Cover and Pick Fingers
1. Remove the fusing unit.
2. Remove the fusing upper cover [A] (4 screws).
3. Remove the pressure springs [B].
4. Remove the hot roller stripper bracket [C] (3 screws).
6. Ricoh Aficio MP 2851 Thermostat Removal
1. Remove:
[A] Thermostat cover (Tap x2).
[B] Plate ( x2 , spring washers).
2. Remove:
[C] Thermostat holders x2 ( x3 each.).
[D] Thermostats x4
7-8. Ricoh Aficio MP 2851 HOT ROLLER AND FUSING LAMP
1. Remove the fusing unit.
2. Remove the fusing upper cover.
3. Remove the pressure springs.
4. Remove the hot roller stripper bracket.
5. Remove the fusing lamps (4 screws) and hot roller assembly [A].
NOTE: Do not touch the surface of the fusing lamp with bare hands.
6. Replace the hot roller [B] (2 C-rings, 1 gear, 2 bushings).
Reinstallation Instructions at bottom of illustrated instructions
NOTE: 1) Apply grease (Barrierta) to the inner surface of the bushing.
2) Before installing the new hot roller, peel off 3 cm (1 inch) from both ends of the protective sheet on the new roller. After installation, remove the protective sheet.
3) Do not touch the surface of the rollers.
4) When reinstalling the fusing lamp, secure the front screws first.
5) Be careful not to damage the surface of the hot roller.
9. Ricoh Aficio MP 2851 PRESSURE ROLLER/CLEANING ROLLER
1. Remove the fusing lamp and hot roller assembly.
2. Replace the pressure roller [A] (1 E-ring, 2 bushings, 1 spring).
3. Replace the cleaning roller [B].
NOTE: 1) Apply grease (Barrierta) to the inner surface of the bushing for the pressure roller.
2) Do not touch the surface of the rollers.
10. Ricoh Aficio MP 2851 FEED ROLLERS: TRAY 1
1. Remove the paper tray [A].
2. Pull the lever [B].
3. Replace the feed roller [C].
NOTE: Do not touch the roller surface with bare hands.
After reinstalling the feed roller, return the lever [B].
11. Ricoh Aficio MP 2851 FEED ROLLER: TRAY 2
1. Remove the first paper tray.
2. Remove the second paper tray [A].
3. Raise the white Teflon lever [B] to release the roller.
4. Replace the feed roller [C].
NOTE: Do not touch the roller surface with bare hands.
After reinstalling the feed roller, reset the lever [B].
