Different manufactures set different maintenance rates for the roller and separation pad. I’d say if the roller is between 50,000 and 75,000 it probably needs to be replaced and the separation pad rubber is rated between 25,000 and 50,000. Below you will find the illustrated replacement instructions.
Signs of worn rollers are poor pick up. Most people complain that they have to kind of push the paper along at first to get it started feeding into the unit and intermittent jamming occurs on a regular basis. Signs of a worn pad are multiple feeding or some like to call it, double feeding. If you see signs of either of these problems your best bet is to replace these parts. Generally if your having problems feeding, cleaning the rollers off a little should get it back working again for a short amount of time till you can get the parts ordered in. Multiple feeding is generally worse and is hard to get it function correctly until the separation pad is replaced.

1. Fully Open the Document Feeder Top Cover to expose the feed rollers.
2. Release the Bushing and rotate it until it reaches the slot, as shown below. Then lift the Pick Up Assembly out..
Savin AC205L ADF Separation Replacement Procedure
1. Remove the ADF pick up roller assembly
2. Either remove the white pad on top of the pad holder assembly or press in on either side of the bottom tabs and pull the whole separation pad holder assembly out and replace with the assembly. Make sure that the spring goes back in correctly. Sometimes they are stuck to the bottom of the old holder so make sure they get installed with the new holder.
