Ricoh SP4110, SP4210, SP4310 Service Mode SC Fuser Error Reset

While it’s important to understand what a SC543 or SC542 fuser error means, it’s even more important to know how to reset the errors to find out if it was just a phantom error or if it is more serious. Below you will find the instructions on how to enter the Ricoh SP4110, SP4210, SP4310 Service Mode and where to find the area in service mode to clear out your fuser errors.

Ricoh SP4110, SP4210, SP4310 SC Fuser Error Reset
Fusing unit SCs shown on the operation panel. The machine is disabled. The user cannot reset the SC.
1. Find the  SP5810 and press [#Enter].
2. When “execute” is displayed, press [#Enter] again.
3. Press [Escape].
4. Turn the machine power off/on.

If done correctly, once the machine turns back on, it should go to a ready state. If the error goes away and comes back shortly then it’s time to pull the fuser and have a closer look at it or replace it. My theory is once or twice a year is acceptable, especially if your area is know for power outages. However, if it happens once or twice in a few weeks or months then you probably have a more serious problem. If you find you need a new fuser for your machine then click on the link below for pricing and buying options.
