HP LaserJet Enterprise M606, M605, M604 50.12 Fuser Error Repair Advice

The HP LaserJet Enterprise M606, M605, M604 50.12 Fuser Error is related to the pressure release system failing. Older models were horrible at detecting when the system failed and it failed more than I like. Hopefully, these newer models will be better designed and better at detecting when the system fails. Usually there isn’t a whole lot to do when it fails, once they act up once they tend to start doing it more often which quickly leads to fuser replacement. However, if you feel like going through the troubleshooting steps then follow the instructions below. Also, you will find links to order in a replacement fuser and links to the illustrated fuser replacement instructions.

My Own Repair Advice For the HP LaserJet Enterprise M606, M605, M604 50.12 Fuser Error

  1. Replace the fuser. This model is new so I don’t have a lot of experience with it yet but in previous models the pressure release system in the fuser has been iffy in OEM fusers and good luck getting a rebuilt fuser to last more than 100,000 prints. Heck, half the time they fail they don’t even tell you, it just prints like crap. Anyway, just remove the fuser and check the cams on either side of the unit to make sure they are camming in unison. Check the flag. Replace the fuser and 99 percent of the time your done. If you try to adjust the cams they typically will just act up shortly later and you will be back out replacing the fuser so it’s best to just do it at the first signs of issues.
