The  Lexmark T654, T652 Error Code 933.00  could mean that your laser scanner motor  is not moving. These motors are very sensitive and get up to extremely high speeds. I typically see errors like this when the machine is in a very dirty environment or possibly if the machine received a sudden jolt. Below you will find what the service manual has to say on this topic and a few personal tips that I’d like to add. Also, you will find links to purchase a replacement printhead if needed and at the bottom of the article you will find a link to the printhead replacement instructions.

More Diagnostic Tips for the Error Code 933.00

1. Turn the machine off then back on.

2. Check the connectors.

3. Lexmark and other manufactures would strongly disagree with me but if you want to see if the motor is turning or not then you unplug the machine, take the covers off like your replacing the printhead, leave the printhead connectors plugged in, remove the top cover of the printhead, plug the power back in, and try to run a page or two. I haven’t tried it on these machines but on other manufactures you can remove the polygon motor, clean the shaft and bushings, use a light weight oil and get the motor back working. No garentees on how long that will last though. Just something fun to try if it’s your own personal machine or have a customer who wants to save a buck. Usually, if I take them apart and the motor is locked up and I do manage to get it free, I tell the customer the printhead should be replaced. Even if I do get it working. I just don’t want it failing in a month or two and the machine being down for my customer again.

4. Replace the Printhead.
