Xerox WorkCentre 4150 Fuser Assembly Removal and Reset Procedure
Below you will find the instructions for the  WorkCentre 4150 Fuser Assembly Removal along with the procedure to reset the life of the fusing unit. These aren’t bad machines and are expandable to fit lots of different needs and can put up some decent page counts. These machines are the middle of the road machines for Xerox. They are not the in the 5000 series which can do some heavy duty printing and not in the 3000 series which sometimes get over used and die out quickly.

Xerox WorkCentre 4150 Fuser Assembly Removal Instructions
Turn power off and unplug the machine. Let the machine sit for 15 to 20 minutes to allow the fuser to cool down.
1. Open the right side cover assembly.
2. Remove the four screws at the four corners of the fusing assembly.
3. Remove the fuser assembly.
1. Replacement is the reverse of the removal procedure.
2. Ensure the exit sensor actuator is pushed to the left when the fuser assembly is reinstalled,
3. (4150) If a new fuser assembly was installed, reset the HFSI (High Frequency Service Item) count.
Fuser Life Reset Procedure.
Even if the machine is not calling for the fuser to be replaced, anytime the fusing unit is replaced the life counter should be reset to reflect the life of the new item.
Enter Diagnostic Mode :
1. Switch on the machine.
2. (4150) When the machine is in the ready state, press and hold the # key, then press the  Access key. The Diagnostic Login window will open.
3. Enter the password (default is 1934). Touch the Enter button on the UI.
NOTE: Â To remove an incorrect number press the C key. If you fail three times you will be locked out for three minutes
5. Select the Service Information tab
6. Choose from the following:
• HFSI.
To reset the HFSI item Actual count value to zero, perform the following:
1. Select and highlight the HFSI item to reset.
2. Touch the Reset button,
3. Touch the OK button to reset the count value to zero.
