Control Panel Message : Â Self Diagnostic – Will Automatically Restart within 15 minutes.
The Self Diagnostic Message is a go between from the generic Fuser Error message and a more specific message. This message comes up as the machine attempts to repair itself. Rarely does this actually solve your problem. The best thing is to let this message play out then restart the unit. Either this message will come back up or you will get another more specific fuser error message or in rare cases the machine will start back up and function normally. Typically the only way to clear error messages is to perform a manual reset in Maintenance Mode. Troubleshooting the Self Diagnostic Message
1. Let the machine play through it’s reset procedure.
2. Turn the machine off then back on.
3. I’ve seen machines get stuck repeating this message when they have a power issue. Verify that the machine is plugged straight into wall outlet and not a power strip with multiple devices. Also, try another wall outlet at a different location.
4. Make sure it is not plugged into a battery back up.
5. Perform a Fuser Error manual reset described in the link below.
