The Print Unable 76 Message is a result of the machine reading a rapid temperature rise on the center thermistor. This error is probably one of the more common fuser error messages on Brother machines. Most times this error happens when the machine has a sudden power outage and when it turns back on gets an incorrect fuser reading due to the fact it thinks the fuser should be cool when it’s already hot. 99% of the time this error will not go away until a manual reset is performed through maintenance mode. 1. Turn the machine off then back on.

2. Check to make sure the machine is plugged straight into a wall outlet.

3. Let it sit 15 to 30 minutes unplugged then plug back in and try again.

4. Perform manual reset in Maintenance Mode.
