Brother DCP / MFC 9010, 9120, 9320 – Replace Fuser Message and Reset

The Replace Fuser message on these machines comes up after around 50,000 prints and copies. Like most Brother machines this particular fuser error doesn’t cause the machine to quit working. At this time I strongly recommend that you remove the fusing assembly and check for the common signs of wear and tear. On most fusing units, about this time, the pick fingers are starting to wear down the surface of the hot roller. The sides or middle of the hot roller might be showing signs of wear or toner build up. Also, you will want to check the lower pressure roller for signs of wear like wrinkles or the outer coating coming apart. I’ve provided the fusing unit removal instructions in another article. Click on the link below the reset instructions for the information.
