Troubleshooting the HP Laserjet 5200 10.32.YY UNAUTHORIZED SUPPLY

Repair tips for the 10.32.YY UNAUTHORIZED SUPPLY Message on the HP Laserjet 5200

Not really a whole lot to say about this error. Pretty much the machine is on to you and is reporting to the error log that you have put in a third-party  toner cartridge. Obviously this means little to you because you know what has been done. However, if problems were to arise in the future such as toner spills and print quality problems related to that toner cartridge an HP service tech just has to check the error log to find out that third-party cartridges had been used, voiding most warranty issues.

Most these cartridge errors aren’t machine stopping pressing the ? or √ buttons usually clear the error and allows you to print. Opening the cartridge door or powering the machine off and on again typically brings back the message. Also, most times the machine will fail to properly tell the usage of the cartridge and on the supplies  page will point you back to using a non HP cartridge and recommend that you install  one to get an accurate reading.
