The Canon imageRUNNER 1750,1740,1730 E001-0001 Error Code happens with the fusing assembly thermistor reads an oveheat issue happening within the fusing assembly. Note : Fuser Errors have to be reset in service mode. While testing the machine, each time the machine displays a fuser error you probably will have to go in a reset the message to further test.

Caution : Due to the nature of an overheat error, it is recommended that you allow the machine to sit 15 to 20 minutes before trying to restore the machine to working order. In other words, let the machine sit for a while before resetting. I haven’t seen it on Canon machines but I’ve seen heating elements melt on pressure rollers if they are reset to quickly.

Problem:  Detection of overheating of Fixing Assembly
Description : The hardware circuit detected overheating of the Main Thermistor or Sub Thermistor for 30 msec or longer.
Remedy 1. Go through the following to clear the error: CLEAR > ENGIN >
ERRCLR in Service Mode; then, turn OFF and then ON the power.
