My Troubleshooting Advice for the HP LaserJet Enterprise M606, M605, M604 50.11 Fuser Error

  1. Turn the machine off and let it sit 15 to 20 minutes to cool down and try again.
  2. Check for proper ventilation. I recommend 4 inches of clearance on all sides. Due to the large flat surfaces on the machine people love to stick stuff on the sides of the machine. Make sure none of the cooling vents are covered.
  3. I’ve seen machines overheat in warehouses and factories on hot days. Check the user manual for operating temperature specifications. I tend to say anything over 80 to 85 is too hot.
  4. Check the paper settings match the paper type. Running a machine on heavy cardstock or a high temperature while running plain paper can cause overheating.
  5. Replace the fuser.
