Diagnostic Tips for the HP Color CM3530 50.5 Fuser Error – Mismatch
This particular error I’ve only run into a handful of times and it always has been something simple that fixes the problem. In every case it has always been a poorly seated fusing assembly. Therefore, before you get to serious about replacing parts I would consider a quick investigation to what is going on. Below you will find some diagnostic tips for the  HP Color CM3530 50.5 Fuser Error from the service manual and a few tips of my own. The fuser has experienced a type-mismatch error.

Service Manual Diagnostic Aids for the 50.5 Fuser Error
1. Reinstall the fuser. Check the connector (J50) between the fuser and the product.
Replace the cable or fuser if the connector is damaged.
2. Reconnect the connector (J139) on the DC controller PCA.
3. If the problem persists, replace the fuser
Additional Diagnostic Aids
On this particular error I don’t have a lot of additional advice I can give. I haven’t seen it on this model but I’ve run into on other HP machines where if you don’t get the fuser fully seated then you can get errors like this. So that would be my main focus. Make sure that the unit is fully seated and make sure that the wires are all fully seated in the wire harness. I guess I would also check to make sure you have the right voltage fuser installed if you just ordered in a replacement. I don’t know how closely this matches other fusers but that might also be something to consider, make sure you are putting in the right fuser for the machine.
