 Repair Tips for the  Kyocera FS3900DN – FS4000DN Error Code C6120 High Temp.
The  Kyocera FS3900DN – FS4000DN Error Code C6120 in these machine is due to a possible high temperature reading in the fusing assembly. The good news is that high temperature readings typically mean that the electronics are working. The bad news is that you shouldn’t be getting the error. Abnormally high fuser thermistor S Â temperature
*35/37 and 45/47 ppm printers (EUR/ Â USA model) only
The temperature of the fuser thermistor  S detects 250 °C/482 °F or more continuously  for 3 s.

Service Manual Repair Tips for the Error Code C6120
1. Shorted fuser thermistor  S.
Measure the resistance. If it is 0 Ω, replace  the fuser thermistor S.
2. Defective engine  PWB.
Replace the engine PWB.
Additional Repair Tips
1. Turn the machine off and let it sit 20 to 30 minutes to allow it to cool down to an appropriate temperature. Turn the machine back on and try again.
2. Make sure that there is nothing leaning against the sides of the machine. Also, make sure that no pictures or notes and blocking ventilation vents on the sides of the machine. I always recommend 4 to 6 inch clearance on all sides.
3. Do not run the machine in extremely hot temperatures. Running these machines in hot temperatures can cause them to overheat and not be able to cool down.
4. Replace the fusing assembly.
