Further Repair Information on the  Error Code 935.00

1. Turn the machine off then back on. Printhead errors aren’t normal but they do come up on machines from time to time. I have a few in the field that get this error once or twice a year and have been doing it for years without the need for replacement. I would be concerned though if I saw it happening two or three times in a few months time. If that is happening with your machine I would strongly consider replacing it.

2. Listen for an unusual noise when the printhead starts up. When you tell the printer to print two things happen, the fuser heats up and the polygon motor in the printhead gets up to speed. If the bushings in the motor are dirty or dry, you will either hear a loud humming noise or a high pitched squealing noise. If you hear this unusual noise and this error then it probably is time to replace the printhead.

3. Check your connectors.

4. The manufacture would not recommend this as there is a laser in the printhead but you could unplug the machine, remove the covers, leave the printhead plugged in, remove the printhead top cover, plug the machine back in, once you get it to a ready state, print a few print jobs and see if the motor turns. Note : I would only recommend doing this if you have experience working on machines and understand the basic theory of how they work and function

5. Replace the printhead.
