Instructions for the Lexmark T654, T652, T650  80 Scheduled Maintenance Reset

When the Maintenance counter inside the machine reaches 300,000 pages the machine will come up and say 80 Scheduled Maintenance on the control panel. The good news is that the machine will continue to work. The bad news is that you are going to have to spend a few bucks to keep the machine maintained. The PM kit includes a fusing assembly, transfer roller, several feed rollers for your paper trays, and a dual charge roller. Below you will find the instructions for the Lexmark T654, T652, T650  80 Scheduled Maintenance Reset.

I’ve found that lots of reconditioned or rebuilt fusing units have a hard time making to the 300,000 PM. Therefore, I kind of use the maintenance counter as a fuser counter. Whether I replace the fusing unit or the whole PM kit I tend to reset the PM counter. If you feel that you only want to reset the counter when your doing the whole get then I would use a sticker or marker and label the date and page count that you installed the fusing unit to keep a record of how much life you are getting out of the unit.
