 Tips and Instructions Related to the Xerox Phaser 3600 Fuser Replacement
Rated at 150,000 prints the 126N00293, 126N00324 fusing assembly is a pretty well built piece of equipment. If used properly they tend to last well past their estimated life. However, I would recommend replacing them at or around 150,000 prints to avoid unwanted down time and possible image quality problems. Unlike new models, this machine doesn’t give you a warning message on the control panel when replacement is needed. Whenever I’m servicing these machines I always print off the config report to see the page count and remove the fusing assembly to check for signs of wear and tear.
Note : Also rated at 150,000 prints is the transfer roller and feed rollers, retard kit, and sep pad. Transfer rollers tend to last longer than the other parts but it wouldn’t hurt to consider these additional parts if your at the 150,000 mark and they haven’t been replaced previously.

Safety Warning – Â The fusing assembly heats up to around 350 to 425 decrees. Please allow the fuser to cool 15 to 20 minutes before removal. That is my warning. If you decide to do it earlier just be careful. Most the outside parts aren’t bad to touch but some of the exposed metal and the hot roller can burn in a matter of seconds.
Rear Cover Removal
1. Open the Rear Cover.
2. Release the Restraining Strap (tie stopper).
3. While facing the Rear Cover, lift up on the right hinge pin, slide the Rear  Cover to the right to free the left hinge pin, then remove the Rear Cover  from the printer.

Fuser Removal
1. Pull the locking lever and take out the Fuser Assembly.
2. Press the two green tabs towards the center of the machine to pull out the  Fuser.
Replacement Note
When you replace the Fuser, run the Clean Fuser cycle from the  Control Panel
