Here is a list of the current Small to Midsize HP office machines.
– The P1000 series are great machines to tuck away in small areas. Very small volume machines for home offices or for school and college students. Small toners lead to higher cost per page.
– The P2000 series is a little higher quality machine and offers a parallel port for older computers and systems.
– The P3000 series offers high yield cartridges which drives your cost per page significantly down. These machines are very strong machines and what I recommend to most customers as I see this being a 10 year machine. I have a few in the field with over 500,000 prints. By far the best buy for your dollar in this class.
– The M400 Series is the newer model. Replaces the P2000 series and offers more modern features like printing from Apps. Lower cost per page than the P1000 series but not as good as the P3015. Good for small office settings with 1 to 3 users. I probably would recommend 25,000 to 40,000 max volume a year.
