Resolving the Low Heat Error, Cycle Power On The Samsung SCX-5530FN
The Low Heat Error in these machines is caused by a low temperature reading from the thermistor in the fusing assembly,Genuine Samsung JC96-03799B (JC96-03799A) Fuser (Fixing) Unit – 120 Volt
1. Due to the fact these machines draw a large amount of power they should never be plugged into a  power strip, battery backup, or UPS. Make sure the machine s plugged straight into a wall outlet and turn the machine back on. Sometimes sudden power outages or the machine reading a false temperature from the thermistor can cause this issue. Turning the machine off then back on should resolve this problem.
2. Remove the fusing assembly and follow the instructions below for checking basic electrical issues that could be happening. The fusing assembly runs on AC power except for the thermistor  so doing continuity checks on the thermostat and across the lamp are easy test to perform. If continuity test fail on the thermostat give it a shot of extremely cold air. Hold a can of air upside down and  give the thermostat a quick  blast and check for continuity again. When the thermostat over heats it opens up. When it cools down it should close back up. Often this fails to happen and giving it a blast of cold error sometimes triggers it to close. Also the electrodes on the sides of the lamp or hot roller get corrosion on them giving them a poor contact. Remove them and  remove the corrosion with an emery board.
3. If all the above steps fail  fuser  replacement is the next step in the troubleshooting process. Roughly 99% of fuser  errors like the Low  Heat Error can be solved with simple fuser  replacement. With the fusing assembly you should also check the condition of the unit. Look for scratches or discoloration  on the hot roller, also check for wrinkles,  toner build up,  or a warped surface on the pressure roller. All of these  issues are signs of extreme wear in the fusing assembly. If you see these signs it is time to replace the fusing assembly. If you can get a test page to print, print the system data and check the copy count usually found  at the bottom of the page. The fusing assembly is rated at 80,000 prints. If you find the total page count higher than 80,000 prints you should replace the fusing assembly to prevent  more issues from occurring in the printer.

1. Measure the continuity of the thermostat. Is it open Replace the thermostat.
2. Measure the resistance value of the lamp. Is it infinite? Replace the fuser unit.
3. Check that the fuser connector is connected properly.
4. Measure the resistance value of the thermistor. Is it infinite? Replace the thermistor.
5. Replace the fuser unit.

2. Remove the four screws securing the Fuser  Ass’y  and then pull the Fuser  Assemby.
