HP LaserJet P1102w Printer Review and Specifications

HP P1102w  LaserJet Printer Review

The HP LaserJet Pro P1102w Printers are HP’s smallest model machine in their  laserjet  line. They offer OK print speeds at 19 page per minute, 150 sheet feed tray, and come with a USB port and built-in WiFi.

Good for at home personal use and small office settings. Very small design allows it to fit just about anywhere. It’s amazing where I see customers hide these machines. Although, the best thing this machine has to offer is its  HP ePrint  technology so you can print from a mobile  device anywhere directly to your computer. Hard  to find another machine this size that  has the mobile print feature.  HP also advertises these machines are one of the most energy-efficient  laser printers in the market. If your big on being green and  want to help support keeping your impact down on the environment this is the machine for you.

Pretty much a very basic machine not designed for heavy usage and very disposable because of its cost. Works great for students and at home use for small print jobs. It handles envelopes and cardstock but there has been known issues for these machines with that feature. Some people have success with them and others struggle. The main thing that  I don’t like about the HP laserjet P1102w is the print cartridge. I know that’s where the money is and HP doesn’t offer High Yield cartridges for these models so your cost per page is more than some other  manufactures in this segment. HP doesn’t like to advertise this put most people say the cartridge yields around 1,500 pages.

I gave it a  3 out of 5 review because  its basically unrepairable, it has a very low yield cartridge, and doesn’t offer a lot of features. Majority of the ones I’ve serviced have been for our local library and if they weren’t under contact the machines would never be fixed because  once you start replacing parts it’s not cost-effective.  Good machines for their segment but personally I try to stay away from these small personal machines and advice a little bit stronger model. But if you plan on doing 1 to 5 thousand a year and need a small compact machine these will meet your needs.
