Fixing the 58.02 Error in the HP Laserjet P3015 Printer RM1-6515-000CN

Troubleshooting Aids for the 58.02 Error on the HP LaserJet  P3015 Printer

The 58.02 error on the HP laserjet  P3015 Printer is related to the environmental sensor on this machine. Several things can cause this issue so in this article I’d like to touch on a few things to check before you replace the sensor.

1. Check your surrounds. Make sure you have a 4 to 6 inch clearance around the machine.   Make sure nothing is covering the vents on the sides of the machine. Also you will want to check the temperature of the surrounds. The machine should be operating at a temperature between 50 to 80 decrees. If you have brought the machine in from outside in an extreme temperature make sure you let it sit for a few hours to adjust to new surroundings.

2. Not much more to check. I’ve seen the 58.02 error a few times and the end result is me replacing the environmental sensor. Now you could always try turning the machine off then back on or unplug the machine and let it sit for 20 to 30 minutes and try again. Also I would check the error log to see how often it has happened. I’ve gone on site before and the error doesn’t show itself. So if you don’t see this error on site but you see it in the error log you should just go a head a replace it to avoid a call back.
