Xerox 3210 and 3220 Phaser Troubleshooting Repeating Defects

One of the most common issues related to service calls in my experience is image quality issues related to repeating defects on the front or back of paper. The good thing about this model machine is that there really isn’t too much  to them so troubleshooting and locating the problem should be pretty easy. Majority of quality problems are related to the toner cartridge. If you are experiencing problems other than repeating defects I always recommend my customers replace the toner cartridge first before calling out for service. It’s always frustrating for a customer to hear they just spent 60 to 75 dollars to be told they have a defective toner cart.
Note: Especially if you are using third-party or rebuilt toner cartridges

Repeating Defects
When horizontal lines or spots occur repetitively, it could indicate a roller defect. Measure the interval of the print defect and check the measurement against the roller diameters in the table. The interval does not necessarily match the circumference of the Roller.
I will say this again since you might not have paid attention above. While for the most part these measurements are accurate they might not always be spot on. So if a measurement doesn’t line up with any of the below choices, usually the one closes to your measurement is the one to focus on.3210 and 3220 repeating defects xerox phaser photo
