50.2 Fuser  Error – HP Laserjet  P4014, P4015, P4510 Printer

The good thing about the HP Laserjet  P4014, P4015, and P4510 printers is that errors like the 50.2 fuser error are not as common as they use to be. However, they are bound to happen given the nature of the fusing assembly and the vital role it plays in the functionality of the printer. In this article, I’d like to talk about the 50.2 fuser error and discuss some of the possible solutions one can try to get the printer back up in running without the need for replacement.

The 50.2 fuser  error is indicating a fuser warm up error has occurred  in the fusing unit. First thing to try is just turning off and on the machine to see if the error goes away. Second thing is to turn the machine off, unplug it, let it sit 20 to 30 minutes, reseat  it if you feel up to it, and try again. You could precede and follow the steps below but replacement is most likely needed if the above steps haven’t fixed it.

Fuser  warm up errors like the 50.1 and 50.2 fuser error could be a result of inefficient power supplied to the device. Check and make sure the power cable is plugged straight into a wall out. Avoid power strips and never plug into a battery back up. Also it should not be plugged into the same outlet as a space heater, copier, coffee maker, or any other device that consumes a lot of power. If the machine  has been transported and just came in from an extreme cold  environment HP and other manufactures recommend letting the machine sit 2 to 4 hours before they are plugged in and used.

Conclusion about the 50.2 Fuser Error on the HP Laserjet  P4014, P4015, P4510 Printer

Alright, that’s all I have to say about the 50.2 fuser  error. While I stated above I haven’t seen a lot of fuser errors on the P4000  series printers that doesn’t mean it won’t happen. Across the HP line of machines the 50.2 fuser error is probably one of the more common fusing assembly errors. Hopefully, the information found in this article has helped you figure our your problem and has given you a better understanding of what the error means and what to look for when it happens.
