Troubleshooting The HP Laserjet 4000, 4050, and 4100 50.3 Fuser ErrorHP Laserjet 4000, 4050, 4100 50.3 fuser error

First thing to try in troubleshooting the HP Laserjet 4000, 4050, and 4100 50.3 Fuser Error  message is just turning the machine off and let it  sit 10 to 20 minutes to allow the fuser  to cool of then turn it back on and see what happens. HP recommends this  in the service manual and is what any tech or service company would say if you were to call and ask for some advice. Second, is to check that it has proper ventilation. You should allow at least a 3 to 4 inches on all sides for proper cooling. Third thing to check for  is your print jobs. If you are printing off a huge report or other job with lots of pages is to break the job up into smaller portions allowing the machine to periodically cool down. Last thing to check with the 50.3 fuser  error on the HP 4000, 4050, and 4100 is the  type of paper that you are using. In some cases if you are using a heavy paper type the machine heats up the fuser to a  higher temperature  so it can properly bond the toner to the paper. If you run the machine like this for an extended amount of time it can overheat the fuser resulting in the 50.3 fuser error.

Advanced Troubleshooting for the HP Laserjet 50.3 Fuser Error in a 4000, 4050, and 4100

1. If the message persists, reseat  the Fuser. If that does not work, replace the Fuser.
