Xerox Phaser 8500, 8550, 8560 Blank or Damaged Control Panel

These machines are prone to defective control panels. Usually, one day you come in and the display isn’t reading right. Sometimes all the characters are not all there, it just reads chiberish, the display text is upside down, or in most cases its blank. If you turn it off and back on it goes back to normal until a day or so later when it quits again. Most my customers call me when the machine doesn’t work anymore and they can’t figure out what’s going on because their display hasn’t worked for two years. Before I can do anything I have to order a display to actually see what’s going on and run test prints and get into service mode if needed. So to avoid a large service bill all at one time its best to replace the control panel when you first start noticing odd behavior. New control panels come with very easy replacement instructions. Below is a link to purchase a new control panel for the 8500,8550, and 8560 Xerox Phaser machines. Xerox sells them for $121.00 so this advertisement  is very well priced and Orion is one of the largest Xerox Phaser parts distributors. I would recommend buying the new though because of all the issues with previous versions of the control panel. Xerox has updated it several times so I wouldn’t fully trust a reconditioned part.
